Process Control Applications

Process control is used for manufacturing, distilling, or public utility applications in order to produce goods from raw materials and processes. Video applications extend beyond security into process quality applications.

The video system can observe employees on assembly lines, take a snapshot of each object as it moves down a conveyor system, or observe a troubled manufacturing process.

Typical uses and recommendations are shown in the table below.

Protected Areas:
Conveyor Systems Watch over items on a conveyor system to validate quality, presence of materials, or counting of items.
Procedure Counters Closely watch over procedures to validate quality processes.

Minimizing System Costs Review a strategy for keeping the cost of the system under control.
Maximizing Video Effectiveness Explore ways to increase the effectiveness of the system.
Control other Costs Determine if the video system can help the user to control other operational costs related to the facility.
