Docking Facility Applications

Often located in shopping malls, airports, auditoriums, hotels and other highly populated public spaces, docking areas allow an easy method for freight or cargo to pass from a transport to the facility.

Outside of the receiving area, consider viewing events in the alley or driveway. Inside consider watching over loading platforms, conveyor systems, stockroom shelves and walkways.

Certain video surveillance systems can also provide a view of actions that take place before, during and after being triggered by detection devices. Typical uses are shown in the table below.

Protected Areas:
Rollup doors Watch cargo or freight pass through a shipping entrance.
Roadways Watch traffic patterns on roadways. Track vehicles into and out of the facility.
Emergency Exits Capture video of those who force their way through emergency exits. See who initiated an emergency alarm.
Alley ways Watch over external walkways and alleys in and around buildings. View utility easements.
