Applications for Control Rooms

Activity in the control room can have an affect on workers in a factory or citizens in a community. Because of the vast influence created at this central point of control and administration, it is important to keep watch so that the interest and safety of those affected by control room facilities is preserved.

In control rooms containing instrumentation panels and control boards, the system can provide surveillance services for entry paths to the room. In addition, it can assist in validating the quality of service by watching over the activities of employees of the facility, board operations, and a view of status indicators.

The system can verify that employees are present and alert, and that no unauthorized visitors are present during late and night shift operations, and that employees are safe from intruders.

Typical uses are shown in the table below.

Protected Areas:
Instrumentation Panel Watch over employee operation of instrumentation panels to validate quality of service.
Doorways Get a close-up view of each person that passes through a doorway or threshold.
Storage Rooms Keep watch over the door. Keep a video history of those who enter the protected area.
Emergency Exits Capture video of those who force their way through emergency exits. See who initiated an emergency alarm.
Stairwells Help to manage risks by verifying that the stairwell is clear of injured persons, vagrants, or children at play.
