When the
system is holding a door open during the day, such as in the case of a public
lobby door, the door is typically held open with a manual switch or by an
automatic schedule.
If you configured the system to
unlock during a specific time period and the security system is armed, then
visitors could enter the building and trigger an alarm.
If traffic or weather delay
employees from arriving to work on time, and the system unlocks the door, then
visitors may be invited into the building before employees arrive.
When automatic scheduling is
used, consider configuring the system to unlock or open the door:
- When the security system is disarmed.
- Within a designated time period.
-
After a supervisor or other responsible person has arrived
to disarm the security system.
These considerations help
the system to remain locked until all conditions are met.
