PLEASANT PRAIRIE, WI, July 21, 2005 -- Honeywell (NYSE: HON), an industry
leading thermostat manufacturer, today introduced a full line of UL Listed PVC
and Plenum low voltage wires designed for optimum performance of thermostat
controls, doorbells, and heating and air conditioning equipment.
The wire is recommended for use with Honeywell digital and non-digital
thermostats to ensure the best possible climate control system performance.
Available in convenient 250- or 500-foot spools, Speedbags™ and pull boxes,
Honeywell thermostat wire features polypropylene insulation resulting in
exceptional dielectric protection. It strips easily and cleanly for faster
installations with reduced jobsite waste, plus has sequential footage markings
to let the installer know how much cable is left in a box or on a spool.
Wire construction consists of between 2-12 color-coded, solid copper
conductors (AWG 18-20) in a flexible, lightweight jacket that is sunlight
resistant. PVC general-purpose wires are offered in white or brown jackets, with
the Plenum cables are available in a natural jacket color.
