Honeywell Extends IP Solutions Portfolio With Launch of Fusion III V3.6 DVR and HCS Megapixel Camera Range in Europe, Middle East and Africa

IP Product Offering Provides Easy Integration with Digital and Analogue Networks, Reducing Costs and Boosting Security Capabilities

RUNCORN, UK, April 28th 2009 – Honeywell (NYSE: HON) today announced that it has extended its IP solutions portfolio in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) with the launch of the Fusion III v3.6 Digital Video Recorder (DVR), and HCX megapixel camera range, providing security installers and integrators with a comprehensive Honeywell IP video solution alongside its proven analogue solutions. The new portfolio of IP products is ideal for organisations such as government facilities, educational centres, commercial buildings and municipal environments looking to expand current digital or analogue networks with the latest IP technology.

The Fusion III v3.6 – the latest version of the highly regarded Fusion III security DVR series – offers full integration with Honeywell’s new HCX megapixel camera range as well as the EQUIP™ range of IP cameras and ACUIX™ IP PTZ Domes. The Fusion III v3.6 also enables existing Honeywell Fusion users to implement IP onto an analogue network via a flash upgrade, without the need to install a new DVR or replace network infrastructure.

“With these new products, we can offer installers and integrators a complete IP video solution portfolio,” said Chris Koetsier, Global Video Systems Product Director, Honeywell Systems Group, EMEA. “Honeywell has a heritage of developing innovative, high quality analogue video solutions for the security market and now we are bringing that knowledge and expertise to the IP realm through our Fusion III, HCX, EQUIP and ACUIX ranges.”

Honeywell’s IP products portfolio include:

Fusion III v3.6 DVR – The latest version of the highly regarded Fusion III security DVR series incorporates proven Fusion III hardware alongside new enhancements such as advanced IP camera integration, Smart Motion search technology and Microsoft Active Directory integration. The Fusion III v3.6 uses the latest IP technology to bridge the gap between analogue and digital systems, offering complete integration between the two formats. Furthermore, optional intelligent video analytics via Honeywell’s Active Alert®, Smart Impressions® and People Counter packages can significantly increase event detection accuracy while virtually eliminating false alarms.

Honeywell HCX Megapixel technology – Honeywell’s new HCX megapixel cameras offer leading-edge IP technology and savings on installation and equipment costs, providing network surveillance for high resolution object recognition beyond the capability of standard analogue cameras. In areas where surveillance is required over a large field of view, one HCX camera is able to perform the same job as several standard analogue cameras, with the quality of image facilitating significantly improved forensic analysis.

EQUIP series of IP cameras – Adopting the look of Honeywell’s successful analogue camera line, the EQUIP Series is a family of IP-enabled professional cameras. EQUIP IP cameras capture high quality images at a rate of 25 frames per second at 4CIF even in low light, resulting in sharper images, while faster video transmission is achieved via MPEG-4 compression, reducing network bandwidth requirements. The range includes day/night body cameras and a vandal resistant mini-dome.

ACUIX IP PTZ dome – The crowning model in the EQUIP series provides superior images, faster responses to events and tighter integration with Honeywell DVRs. The ACUIX IP dome features 18X Colour and 18X, 26X and 35X True Day/Night lenses, Wide Dynamic Range for difficult lighting situations and Electronic Image Stabilisation for improved image quality in unstable mounting situations.
