MELVILLE, N.Y., April 2, 2008 – Honeywell (NYSE: HON) today released an
enhanced version of the LYNXR-I Wireless Control Panel. The latest addition to
Honeywell’s popular LYNX quick-install family of controls, the sophisticated new
LYNXR-I is a combination wireless control, keypad and siren that has been
enhanced to support the Honeywell family of GSM/Internet communicators,
including the 7845i and 7845GSM.
When used with Honeywell’s Total Connect remote services, LYNXR-I lets
customers control their security systems, receive important alerts and stay
connected to their homes and businesses from any remote location via the
Internet, cell phones, PDAs or any web-enabled device. It’s also an excellent
opportunity for dealers to increase recurring monthly revenue (RMR).
LYNXR-1 features include compatibility with all 5800 Series devices and
built-in two-way voice, which adds another opportunity for RMR by letting
central station operators communicate with homeowners in the event of an
emergency. Other key features include voice prompts, a built-in message center,
reminders, “Follow Me” and scheduling.
LYNXR-I is highly flexible and can be mounted on walls or placed on
tabletops. The quick-install device contains voice prompts to walk dealers
through the installation process—reducing time and training costs. Additionally,
installing a GSM radio or Internet communicator is easier with the GSML and
7847i-L modules, which install inside the same plastic case as the LYNXR-I with
no additional enclosures to mount.
