has serial number addressing capability in addition to DIP switches. The 998MX
has lookdown, automatic temperature compensation and includes wide angle, long
range and pet alley lenses.

your overall installation costs. The 998MX can be used with any Honeywell alarm
system that supports Multiplex Addressing, including the VISTA-40, VISTA-50P,
4140XMP, 5140XM, and VISTA-100.
Features
Point ID identifies the exact location of the intruder with a DIP Switch
Address or a Serial Number Address as distinctive as a fingerprint. And with
the built-in Remote Point Module, the cost is less than a separate module and
sensor.
Patented Global Polling technology senses alarms up to eight times faster
than conventional multiplex.
Honeywell’s unique two-wire multiplex reduces installation costs over
conventional four-wire hardwire and multiplex approaches by reducing both wire
costs and the number of connections.
Each sensor draws super low current, reducing power and battery
requirements on large installations while allowing for longer wire runs or
smaller gauge wire.
