Honeywell Donates Watches to US Marine Corps

SYOSSET, N.Y., October 26, 2005 – Honeywell (NYSE: HON), a sponsor of the 10th Annual Quantico Marine Corps Base Half Marathon, donated 5800 Series Wireless watches to more than 1,500 participating US Marines at the event held at the military base in Quantico, Virginia, last month. In addition, the company plans to donate watches to Marines guarding the bases on Christmas Eve, and to include them in holiday gift baskets for wounded soldiers.

“We were happy to be able to provide a gesture of support, appreciation and gratitude to our troops, and to be a part of the event,” said Vince Adams, Federal Marketing Manager for Honeywell Security. "It was a great day."

"Everyone involved with the half marathon were impressed with the watches Honeywell provided, and we were very appreciative of their generous support," said Gary Gutshall, Commercial Sponsorship Coordinator, Quantico Marine Corps Base. "It is an added bonus to be able to provide watches to Marines on duty during the holidays at Quantico and to those recuperating in local military hospitals."
