wireless family, Honeywell’s exciting 5800PIR-OD is the
ideal solution
for providing your customers with reliable outdoor
protection. The weatherproof sensor, which features a range
of 40’ (12 meters), protects pool areas, boats, trailers, sheds and other outdoor
valuables. In commercial settings, the 5800PIR-OD can guard against copper
theft and protect utility and electrical substations, cellular sites, buildings,
car lots, rooftops and more. It enhances end-user awareness when used with
Total Connect digital communications solutions—letting them receive alerts and
notification via e-mail and text messages (e.g. motion detected by driveway, pool
area, etc.) and working with video to trigger, tag or enable monitoring or
recording.
The 5800PIR-OD is ideal for difficult to wire locations—avoiding the costs and time
associated for trenching, excavating or subcontracting (which is usually required
for traditionally wired outdoor sensing technologies). Notable features include
a range adjustable to 40' (12 meters), immunity to both large and small
animals and two passive infrared (PIR) sensors that must both be tripped in
order to declare an alarm. It is weatherproof and features a temperature range
of -4º F to 122º F (-20º C to 50º C)
